With a surface that mimics the texture of moonstone and raw earth, the Crater Bud Vase is a sculptural object rooted in natural forms. Made from porcelain and finished with a matte, cratered texture, this decorative vase invites touch and quiet contemplation. Its silhouette—narrow at the neck and gently swelling at the base—offers a subtle nod to ancient vessels, reimagined through a contemporary lens.
Gina DeSantis is a ceramic artist whose practice is rooted in over two decades of exploration and refinement. Her journey with clay began in 1999 at a community college, where she discovered a lasting connection to the medium. This path led her to pursue an MFA from Kent State University, completed in 2006. With a deep respect for material and process, her work reflects a balance of form, function, and quiet beauty—each piece thoughtfully made to invite everyday use and appreciation.
