THE CERAMICS EDIT
THE WOMEN OWNED CERAMICS EDITÂ WRITTEN BY ANNA RICHARDSON
A ceramics edit curated by Anna Richardson, founder and potter behind Pepper Stone Ceramics, based out of Charlottesville, Virginia. Anna is known for her eye-catching and notable Grid Mug. You can see the amount of detail and care in all of her ceramic pieces that she creates from start to finish by hand in her home studio. Functional and beautiful with a sense of connection. While we're big fans of Pepper Stone Ceramics we reached out to Anna to see what she's currently eyeing and we're excited to share Anna's edit of 6 ceramic businesses founded by women to support and find inspiration from.
Whitney Sharpe of Latch Key Ceramics creates beautiful hand-sculpted ceramic works. Each pot is a unique piece of art that seems modern yet timeless. The dedication and craftmanship are truly inspiring.
Lalese Stamps of Lolly Lolly Ceramics thinks outside of the box. From her 100 Mugs Project featuring 100 different handles, to playful weekly reels, and all-around good vibe, she is someone to follow.
Sarah Hussaini of Not Work Related creates colorful & geometric mugs, cups, and planters. Her pots are insanely technical and it shows through their consistency in shape, pattern, and design.
Martina Thornhill is one of my favorite ceramic artists I follow currently. Check out her vast offering of glaze colors on her lidded Okay Cups as well as her fan-favorite Emotional Mug (pictured here)!
Chelsea of Bombabird Ceramics creates functional, wheel-thrown stoneware. Her love for texture, a neutral color palette, and form are reflected in each piece. They're meant to last and would look fitting in any home.
Micaela Sharief DeMarquez of Mimi Ceramics brings beauty to the surface with dreamy airbrushed color, hand-painted clouds, and opalized patterns. Her pots have a special aesthetic and artistic flair.
