1. What started it all for you?

I am the creative director at Rosalie Agency. We work with brands to create assets for product launches like fun videos and photos for social. I've been a creative for over 10 years now. I graduated Fine Arts at UCLA and I was determined to be a photographer. I've held a lot of photography jobs since then, but starting my own company in 2016 has been by far my biggest accomplishment. It's still a huge pinch me moment to be able to say we work with brands like Fenty Skin, Biossance, Necessaire, just to name a few.

2. What drives your creative spark?

I love creating beautiful things. There's nothing that inspires me more than that. I have a great team this year and amazing clients so that makes my job 100 times easier. It's always so fun to outdo ourselves in terms of creative assets and learn from each other.

3. Most treasured home decor item?

When I was first starting out as a creative I was renting a one bedroom in Koreatown and the only furniture I had was a full size bed, a tiny console table, and a coffee table where I sat on the floor to eat dinner from. Now that I own my first home, I almost feel like I've overcompensated with oversized furniture everywhere. When I bought my Sixpenny couch I felt like it was such a huge accomplishment, like it was my "big girl couch." It literally does feel like it, it's such a statement piece and so massive!

4. What’s the best advice you've ever received?

The best thing I learned in my early 20s was the idea that I could have limitless potential. It was such a radical thought because as an Asian American second generation we are not typically culturally taught that we could be anything or do anything we want. Once I opened up my mind to the possibility that I could have limitless potential it made me fearless in pursuing my dreams. Closed doors became just another window to opportunity. It's incredible how much confidence and a change in mindset can change your entire trajectory.

5. It's 5 o'clock at home. What would you be pouring?

5'o clock is after work hours for me so if I'm not hydrating with water post shoot then I'm celebrating with a glass of Viognier from Halter Ranch.
