6 THINGS WITH HALEY WEIDENBAUM
6 Things with Haley Weidenbaum Founder of Everhem
Haley Weidenbaum, co-founder of Everhem, is a Los Angeles-based interior designer celebrated for her California casual yet refined design sensibility. With years of experience serving both residential and commercial clients, she was repeatedly confronted with the challenge of sourcing custom window coverings. This recurring need ignited her entrepreneurial spirit.
From childhood spaces to professional interiors, Haley's innate connection to design has been a constant thread in her life. After a decade in the industry, the persistent problem of providing custom window treatments without a simple solution became apparent. Driven by her passion and expertise, she and her husband, Adam, founded Everhem. Together, they've dedicated themselves to offering quality window treatments and unparalleled expertise to homeowners, apartment dwellers, and anyone in between, transforming windows and enriching spaces.Â
1. What started it all for you?
2. What drives your creative spark?
3. Most treasured home decor item?
My most treasured home decor item without a doubt has to be the set of five hand-drawn portraits of our profiles created by the talented artist, Nicolas Sanchez. These exquisite pieces were meticulously done using only pen, resulting in an extraordinary level of realism and artistic brilliance. Each portrait beautifully captures the essence of every family member, including my husband and our three kids. These portraits not only add a touch of artistic beauty to our home, but they will serve as a constant reminder of us all during the first few years as a family. Every time I walk past them in the hallway I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude and nostalgia.
4. What’s the best advice you've ever received?
The best advice I've ever received, especially during my journey as an interior designer, is "Fake it till you make it." When I first heard it, I'll admit it sounded somewhat cliché, but its impact on my career has been profound. In those initial years, I often felt like an imposter, doubting my abilities and questioning whether I truly belonged in the field of interior design. However, this advice served as a gentle reminder that we all start as beginners. None of us are experts when we embark on a new path. It allowed me to embrace the learning process, give myself grace, and understand that growth and development come with experience and time. I realized that being an interior designer or an entrepreneur doesn't require immediate perfection or knowing everything from the start.
5. It's 5 o'clock at home. What would you be pouring?
In this household, we are big White Negroni fans. Luckily my husband and business partner, Adam, is a cocktail enthusiast and makes the perfect one.
White Negroni
1.5oz Plymouth gin
1oz Suze
1oz Lillet Blanc
Lemon Peel
