A VISIT TO CASA WABI OAXACA

A visit to Casa Wabi in Oaxaca, a place that has long inspired us through its architecture, connection to nature, and commitment to the arts.

Designed by Japanese architect Tadao Ando along the Pacific coast, Casa Wabi brings together art, landscape, and community in a way that feels deeply meaningful to us. Founded by Mexican artist Bosco Sodi, its mission extends beyond its walls, fostering creative exchange between contemporary artists and local communities through residencies, exhibitions, and cultural programs.

We came to reconnect with creativity beyond the familiar, and to spend time in a place that reflects so much of what we believe in: supporting artists, nurturing meaningful creative exchange, and creating space for new ideas to emerge. Its philosophy also resonates with the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi, finding beauty in simplicity, imperfection, and the unconventional.

As INK + PORCELAIN continues to evolve, so does our vision. What began with a love for discovering and curating the work of emerging women artists has grown into something far beyond the collection itself.

Between the artists we champion, the creative partnerships we nurture, and the ideas we've been quietly developing, a larger vision is taking shape — one rooted in the belief that art can bring people together, open new perspectives, and create meaningful connections.

Some places remind us why we started. Others inspire us to imagine what's possible next.
